I didn't really like the "imprison the Family in various impossible ways" bit, but the ending showing the old guy with the watch was kinda ... nice. (but still vaguely depressing)

To be a long-lived time-traveller would be a rather rending way of life, I think. It would either become incredibly dull & boring, or immensely depressing.

I am reminded of Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged & his manner of dealing with it.
