need to live anywhere in particular? Even assuming the robots are a lot more sociable than Marvin they have no need for "human" comforts. They could travel the galaxy as they liked. Sure the distinction between "robot" and "station" might be clear now but it could synonymous in the future. I think the robots will travel more than orbit around some radioactive glass ball.
