SF (non-Military) Question of the Day! by Illiad2007-05-18 00:01:48

After traveling in an orbiting (around it's own axis) station for a loooong time we'll go down-side. Man only feels safe on the ground. In orbit there are too many things that can go wrong with catastrophic consequences.

I'm not sure what the "space" analogy would be but it's something like: If you ran out of fuel, would you rather be in an airplane or a car? "Up there" you're not in your natural environment.
