<rant>I've seen too many ridiculous patents recently. Absolutely obvious, most likely lots of prior art, and not really an innovation. If crap like that gets accepted as a patent, we might as well stop innovating altogether...</rant>
One example: Flickr's patent on "Interestingness" clicky

Read claim 1 as: a media object that contains tags, with logic that allows you to access and change the tags. Wow, now that is really something new, and we all should pay fees to flickr...
