It streams different channels on your desktop. For free. Channels range from scifi to music to documentaries and sports, and the available channels differ from country to country.
It adds widgets to your "TV" experience, which currently include: IM (at least for Jabber and Google Talk), a chat room for your current channel, a feed reader, and, of course, the required Clock. :P
The quality is average to good (better than standard TV, IMO).
