Doesn't CPU core frequency still = FSB times multi by theanomaly2007-05-09 17:23:57
Here is how. by lheggland2007-05-09 18:26:06
Good point, but I have a question then. by theanomaly2007-05-09 18:40:51
The processor will run at any speed by lheggland 2007-05-09 18:50:41
slower then it's rated clock speed. They are advertising it as a 1.8GHz not a 1.87GHz.

Your only losing 70MHz of clock speed. That's not enough to even worry about. See section 2.7.4 in the datasheet for a better explanation.

My personal policy for building general purpose PCs is to buy the slowest processor that will run the fastest FSB on the market. Unless you are building a dedicated number cruncher, that will give you the best bang for the buck.

Well, the way I was looking at it, by theanomaly2007-05-09 18:58:29
          1860MHz/266 = 7x multi. (x200=1.4GHz) by Menetlaus2007-05-09 19:48:12
