you have to include amino acids and other supplements. There was an article in Discover magazine a while back about a case of premature irreversible senility due to a strict vegetarian diet. Apparently there are amino acids that are necessary and not found in plants.

The human animal is by nature an omnivore. We're designed to eat just about anything. Our major dietary failing (IMHO) these days is the number of manufactured, processed and artificial ingredients in so many foods.
