or better their advantages... Usually IP Phone is much cheaper, but there might be some more problems, especially in case of a home power-out. Cellphone backup would be a very good advice. "Normal" problems might be echos and delay. Perhaps one could get used to it. Just keep in mind the usual problems of digital transmission over noisy channels.
