IP telephones - Any good? by hieraco2007-05-09 09:09:30
What sort of IP phones? by hadji 2007-05-09 09:15:10
I use Vonage at home, which is an IP service, but I use a standard phone. They send a router that has a standard phone jack on the back, and you can plug any standard phone into it.

I've had an occasional problem here and there with it, but nothing really worth complaining about. I've had the service for quite a while, and I've had maybe one or two dropped calls. I just called back, and everything was fine.

I'm happy with it. I'd recommend it with the caveat that you have a cell phone or something as a backup in case of a power outtage.
