We lost my maternal Grandmother last February. It took a few heart attacks, a stroke, kidney failure and a perforated bowel to get her at 92. Tough woman my Grandma. When my granddad left her with three kids (my uncle was an infant at the time) she refused to go on welfare, and got a job. She had to work third shift at the state hospital, but they got by. I'm glad my Mom and Uncle were able to be there with her.
