If your course duration has changed, you should investigate whether that will affect when your YA is cut off. They may still end it, depending on the circumstances of the reason you're not finishing this semester, but wouldn't it be better to find out?

Because there's nothing stopping you from job hunting regardless of what Centrelink is or is not doing.

So I strongly advise chasing up both avenues: see if you can carry on receiving YA, as well as finding a job. Because if you play your cards right, you could end up with a job AND YA, which = more $$! :)
