Um... have you tried giving it cookies? :D Poking it with a stick? Cursing it? Leting the most incompetent person in the lab try it (that is a sure fire one)? Alright, alright thats enough stupid ideas :) My students experiments worked... for certain values of work, somewhat variable from group to group :) Maybe we should let some of them use your machine :) Esp. the ones who don't read the instructions... But all in all they did ok.
