I once thought of trying to solve Sudoku puzzles using linear algebra and matrix math. It should be a set of linear equations with some known an unknown values. From there, just perform the necessary matrix transforms to solve for all variables. Do you guys know if this method is viable (i.e. has anyone used it or proved that it can't work)?
