I have to say that the liquid ban is one of the dumber things to happen to airline security... It always seems like airport security is designed by a room of old men out of touch with the rest of the world.

It doesn't help unless you travel frequently, but I actually leave a small bag at out of town hotels when I travel so that I don't have to deal with check bags for toothpaste, shampoo, etc... I don't however have a great solution for carrying multiple laptops, which is a source of problems for me from time to time.


Personally, I am still waiting for the day that the TSA announces that airport security checkpoints will require passengers to strip down and pass their clothes through the xray machine...
