And he's still around. He's also had blood sugar levels >1000 mg/dL. His baseline is about 300 mg/dL. He's somewhat of an oddball; he has both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Not only does he not produce insulin, but he can't effectively use insulin when it's injected.
