the error code will reappear until the codes are cleared without a restart. In that case, the 25 restart stack purge won't help; the erroneous code will still be there because the pintle will still be misread as being stuck open. Sometimes, the codes really do have to be cleared before the system will fully reset...and sometimes, what's done after clearing the codes is just as important. (Think of it as being like the XP virus restore loop...)
