As for the Linksys switch, you may have to save the good image (with all the VLANs you need) to a tftp server, set the image as default/boot, whatever, then load it from the tftp server and mark it default/active/boot again. We had to do that with one of our 3coms once. We have two linksys 8-port 100mb switches, but don't run VLANs across them. They came with the server room, pretty much - another group left them for us so we put them into use in a non-critical area.
