What sort of interests do you have? by Nath3 2007-04-30 11:46:37
Post on Craigslist or something and find some people with similar interests to work on something with. A side project. This is particularly easy if you are near a University; I don't know if you are. I've been meeting with other people interested in AI on weekends for the past couple of years.

Another thing to look into is martial arts. They aren't to everybody's taste, but a good, friendly dojo is an excellent place for introverts -- I would know. It builds trust and confidence. Of course, going to a bad dojo is both dangerous and counterproductive, but if you are interested I could suggest some ways to tell a good dojo from a bad one.

I'm not sure what physical condition you are in, but there are martial arts for people of all shapes and sizes.
