Sorta: "No Engine Braking" or "No Jake Brakes" by etwas_egal 2007-04-30 11:14:08
Large diesel tractor-trailer rigs are unnervingly loud when engine braking, which is the same as coasting downhill in gear. This is illegal in many communities in order to preserve the peace. I have never heard of such a law for gasoline passenger vehicles.
