I plan my routes so that I hit green lights. I drive the route regularly so I know the patterns of the traffic lights. That's also why I suggested to avoid left turns. At most intersections you can turn right at a red light ;)

Furthermore, if you read what I typed, I said *drive* slowly, not *accelerate* slowly. As in drive 50mph on the highway, not 70mph.
