Meh. by Phoon2007-04-30 09:42:14
Very tricky question. by AndyA 2007-04-30 10:07:49
And sports or activities you like that you could join a club for?

I've had some interesting conversations with people sitting next to me in bars and coffee shops. Nothing that went anywhere but sending a couple of hours debating various things with a random stranger can be entertaining.

Group activities with friends are always a good idea. If the people you know aren't into parties much then think of other things to do as a group that they can bring others to.

You need to take any opportunities that present themselves even if you're not sure if you'll enjoy the actual activity much.

Ultimately I resorted to personal ads for the finding available women bit but other methods were fun socially.

I've found coffeeshops to be more 'parallel play'. by Phoon2007-04-30 10:10:16
