She could have killed someone driving like that! A t-bone at 55 miles an hour can easily be fatal to the other driver, neither human nor cars handle side impact very well. I have no sympathy. Driving like that is as bad as driving drunk. And in most states in the US reckless driving IS criminal, and certainly can result in jail time.
