The dice keep coming up doctors (small whinge) by voxwoman2007-04-30 09:14:02
So far, so good. by Havoc 2007-04-30 09:24:13
If you want good news, that is. Otherwise, skip it so you won't wanna kill me.

30 days ago I gave 60 days notice on the apt - breaking the lease over 18 months early.

They said I would owe 3 mo rent for the 60d period. That's April, May and a penalty month also in May.

Then when I protested, they 'found out' that I had been a renter before they went condo. And I had a ground floor 2br villa apt with 9' ceilings and huge 6' windows.

So they waived the penalty month.

Then they checked my account and I had a credit of 1 month from my LAST lease where I had a month free and never used it.

And at some point I overpaid rent one month so I actually had a $125 credit after all was said and done.

So basically, I'm breaking the lease WAY early and they are giving me $125 for doing it.

:)

So cheer up, good things DO happen.

BTW - do you have a paypal account? You can receive money to the paypal acct and if you have the paypal debit card you can withdraw that money at any ATM. Everyone should have that debit card even if you don't expect to ever need it, because then if bad things happen your friends can put money in your paypal acct and you can get to it easily, at an ATM, instead of the normal jumping-thru-hoops to get it out.

Hint hint.
