Either drive efficient, or enhance the lifetime of your engines. And what I meant (poor wording, no caffeine yet</usual_excuses>: Do not floor the pedal, but accelerate softly, applying more pressure gradually, and not as much as you feel you can get away with to reach 4000 rpm in the shortest amount of time. In Germany, we call a start with floored gas pedal "Kavalierstart", which usually means "Great! you found the gas pedal. Now learn to drive properly."
