World Community Grid: Team UserFriendly.Org by Didactylos 2007-04-30 03:11:29

Team UserFriendly.Org

We've well and truly made our last target, of 500 active members. So where to go from here? I propose we aim for an average of one million points per day. It's perfectly possible. What do you say?

Our very own Geopsychic has been producing some wonderful graphs for some time now. I'm featuring them on the team site. Go and have a look: these graphs track our achievement from the very beginning.

The World Community Grid is a grid computing project whose mission "[...] is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity." Their current projects are Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy, Genome Comparison, Help Defeat Cancer (completed), FightAIDS@Home and Human Proteome Folding Phase 2.

This will be a daily post, if there are no objections. Please, come and help out. I really can't think of a better use for my spare CPU cycles, or yours either.
