that's just the average, (based on times and distance calculations, I don't actually have a pedometer, I use my watch and google earth. LOL) and bear in mind I go up a lot of hills and have to wait to cross a lot of major roads. Perfectly reasonable to assume you can reach 50K's under the right conditions. Steadily shifting up gears I'd bet I could get that kind of speed on a level road. I'd need a lot of flat road to do it though... Downhill. easy.
