We did keep an eye on him for a few days after that, but he lived many years beyond that, so it apparently didn't harm him. (In case you're unaware, cinderblocks are made of small particles and crumble fairly easily, particularly when broken.) I was just more surprised that he sat there and continued eating it. Then again, this was the dog that fell off the porch headfirst when he was a puppy. He never was quite right in the head after that... but he was definitely a good dog.
