| I am firmly convinced that luck is homeostatic. |

I had a good interview today. That was the good luck.
The bad luck had just started, though.
In addition to the usual hassles of the commute home (the 7-11 was out of hot dogs, some jacka3 in a Lexus was tailgating me with brights on) I also found that the blower in my car will not shut off or even reduce from the fastest setting. In fact, it refuses to do so even when I shut the engine off and remove the key from the ignition (and everything else powers down).
When I stopped at 7-11, I found that starting the car with the blower set on less than maximum would cause the control to start responding again, so I drove home as usual with no further problems... until I got in the driveway and decided to experiment. I quickly found that my experience at 7-11 was a fluke, and starting my car multiple times---which made my formerly-sleeping neighbors less than pleased---wouldn't stop the blower. I ended up removing the fuse (which took about twenty minutes just to find, even with the help of the manual).
When I came in (a few minutes ago) and undressed, I found that I had damaged my pants and possibly ruined my shirt. This is the only 'dress' outfit I own; it's not even that dressy. It might not even be business casual, but it's the only pair of pants I have besides jeans, and the only shirt that would be suitable to wear with them.
Can someone load an Illudium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator into the Orbital LART for me? |
