orientation and depth of the tooth (which will dictate how much they have to cut and dig for it). I had to have stitches, but it wasn't bad at all for me. The teeth, though, were upright and at least partially exposed. If you have a tooth going sideways, and it's under the surface of the gum, that's the worst.
