I had to find the right reconfigure commands for X. Luckily, I hit it right off the bat in Google. Now to see if I can get the mouse and keyboard to work fully (I seem to recall there are issues with getting all of the extra functions to work).

I have a Logitech MX-something-or-other cordless laser desktop combo (keyboard & mouse). They work basically (obviously - otherwise how would I type?), but I would like the extra buttons to work - mainly on the mouse, as I use them frequently.

Off to the land-o-Google I go!
