And then they'll discover sapient extraterrestrials but deem them not ready to know all we know, except one of them will... um, do something and somehow end up on Jain along with a dog-like robot and a genetic(al)ly engineered sapient creature based on wolves. And the other 13 of her species will all be on a ship called the Asimov headed for who-knows-where, and only three of them will be male. Or not.
