I wish people would stop talking about "who got the most votes" in the election. That's not how people are elected in this country. The so-called popular vote doesn't matter. Now, if the popular vote happens to be how one feels elected officials should be chosen (because, after all, why not let just New York and California chose all our presidents), then either lobby your elected representatives to change things or get elected yourself and change them.
Had the vote gone the other way, with the Republicans winning the popular vote but losing the election, we'd be hearing the same thing, and it would be equally meaningless.
