US Senate passes war funding bill 51-46 by therantinggeek 2007-04-26 10:54:14
I'm not surprised the votes were split down the party lines, either. IIRC, there is a clause in the bill that specifically calls for the withdrawal of US troops in Iraq by October of this year.

We already know that President Bush has threatened to veto this, and both houses of Congress most likely won't get the two-thirds majority needed to override the veto.
