Canada Bans the Lightbulb by hieraco2007-04-26 03:11:12
What about the mercury in all the fl-lamps? (n/t) by ideur2007-04-26 04:46:21
Good question. But what about the mercury release by talon07202007-04-26 07:07:37
Except most don't have coal generators at home. by dodrian2007-04-26 07:32:50
True, but the amount contained in them is so small by talon0720 2007-04-26 09:58:19
that they aren't a danger. Proper disposal to a recycling program would further reduce the amount of mercury released. The point was that CFLs, though they contain mercury, actually reduce the total amount of mercury released, at least until we burn less coal to generate electricity.
