I need a quick answer to a Linux question. by hadji 2007-04-26 09:07:52
Let's say I have a network device, eth0, and I want to give it a default gateway and a DNS server (primary and secondary), then reset that interface so it takes the new settings.

Is there an easy way to do that via command line?

The command you need is "route" by oot2007-04-26 09:11:27
And DNS info goes in /etc/resolv.conf (n/t) by oot2007-04-26 09:12:43
Didn't want to do a static route. by hadji2007-04-26 09:13:24
