Dear translators. by CynicalRyan2007-04-26 07:28:46
Oh like how Excel cell-macros are also translated? by madjo 2007-04-26 07:34:09
If you open up a Dutch version of Excel, and want to have the sum of a number of cells the formula is:
=Som[a1:a5]

In English it's most likely:
=Sum[a1:a5]

So if I send you an Excel sheet made up in a Dutch Excel, and you don't have that language pack installed, you can open the Excel, but the calculations will most likely get lost. At least this happened between two installs of Excel 97.
I haven't even bothered to try it in Excel 2003.
