Canada Bans the Lightbulb by hieraco2007-04-26 03:11:12
as much as I like CFLs... by kent_eh 2007-04-26 06:45:30
I have never seen one that can be used for an oven light.
I've never seen a fluorescent that cold-starts well (or at all) at below freezing ambient temperatures (think porch light in a Manitoba winter)

Other things I'm thinking about this...
Are they including Halogen lights in the definition of "incandescent"?
Is there a drop-in CFL replacement for the MR-16 or the PAR20? (replacement in terms of lumens, whiteness of light, pattern of light, and physical shape).
I've seen LED based PAR20 replacements, but they put out under 100 lumens, compared to ~550 from a traditional PAR20. That's not what I call a suitable replacement, even if they were the same colour.
