Incandescent light bulbs are more efficient than CFLs in situations where the light isn't on for longer periods of time.

For example: Bathrooms, lamps with motion sensors at front doors, and the like.

In those situation CFLs a) cost more energy and b) brake sooner than Edison's inventions. And they are more difficult to dispose of.

CFLs are teh winnar when used for longer periods, but otherwise they ain't.
