are expensive, too.

You still save money (lots!) with compact fluorescent. And although the shapes may be odd, there are now plently of bulbs that fit the incandescent form factor - designed as direct replacements.

You will only have trouble if you are looking for replacements for those little (extremely inefficient) candle bulbs.
