least). Not so much on off, but they have a high/low fluctuation that you can pick up on high-speed film. I agree with the full spectrum thing. I'm not sure what the bulbs are in my place, but I don't have a problem with being under them for long periods. I remember some gigantic ball-shaped things we got when the low-power globes first came out, now they were bad. Two-color, the high-speed flicker (which became visible after long periods left on), and a high-pitched buzzing only I seemed to hear. Drove me nuts. I guess they were basically one-piece fluoros.

They just need to make the current generation bulbs in MiniBC so I can put the shades back on the fixture in the living room.
