As a side note, I think banning a light-bulb is ridiculous, but that's not the point of this post.

What about reptile tanks? I know some tanks have large incandescent lights, as the reptiles need the heat as well as the light. What could the owner use instead, or would they have to buy a separate heating element?

Also, I'm not pleased with how the fluorescent light in my room makes my lovely smart brown trousers look green. That's a minor thing really, but it did bug me a bit when my brown tie didn't quite match the green trousers (they looked fine under the incandescent in my desk lamp).
