I came to a halt and slowly toppled onto the grassy (overgrown) verge and part way into the ditch. All I did was bump my knee and hip a trifle. I was giggling myself!
Fool of a quad.

The shoes are fantastic, not only do they put my foot in a slanted type position so I sue my knee better etc. But they also mean that you can pull the pedal up on the back half of the pedal cycle - which is amazing. Uses different muscles as well, so for each stroke you get twice as much power.

I was coming down through the edge of town - keeping up with the traffic in front (in a 30 mph zone). It took a proper sprint between lights but I did it!
