only if they are carrying arms. (Rifle or ceremonial sword) :-D

If so, do the American forces Order arms prior to standing at ease? I've seen parades standing at ease with weapons shouldered... looks weird to me.

Also marking time facing forward? We usually faced direction of march (column of route, or right turn) before marking time.

Maggots are disgusting. I'd never use that particular moniker on any troops I commanded, no matter how badly disciplined they were.
