Windows XP Printer Redirection question by radiowave9112007-04-20 12:49:50

This is printing directly to the jet direct by radiowave911 2007-04-20 13:04:43
the the printer is hanging off of. There is no server involved - yet. Until I can get it working, I don't want to go thatough that hassle, seeing as there isn't even a standard for naming this model of printer yet. If the printer isn't properly named, the server admins will not add it to any file & print server.

With the size of our company, I understand that. Administration would rapidle get out of hand if there werent standards that are adhered to. I'll do it if I have to, but I don't want to.

A thought I just had - I wonder if I could install the printer on my PC on the TCP/IP port (I actually have already done this), then share it out and point the net use command at my pc\share.....time to experiment.
