| I am an extremely casual shooter, but if I go out to shoot some trap or some skeet one afternoon, I'm going to go through a minimum of 200 rounds. What if I did that once a month? or once a week? Or-- and I know there are people who do this because my very first job was working at a trap and skeet club-- I shot every single day after work. How much ammo do I get to have stockpiled? Next question... Since Virginia Tech is the new flag for gun control advocates to fly, I'll use it as an example. This was a pre-meditated crime where the perpetrator already complied with a one gun a month purchase limit. Do you think having an ammunition limit would have changed things? Seriously? He already waited long enough to purchase a second gun, he's going to make sure he's got the ammo he needs too. The only thing the law would do is pass on costs to consumers and inconvenience lawful gun usage. |
