i.e. Something that they'll say something about but still look like complete hypocrites.

Get your son a toy gun for his birthday preferebly while on your lunch break. leave it (in a plastic bag, still in the packaging, with the receipt, a cute card, some ribbon and gift wrap) on your desk. then go to the local paper after you get tossed out for buying your pride and joy a little present.
