OE6 annoyance... help please? by mudkicker 2007-04-20 08:00:22
Yeah, I know OE6 in & of itself is an annoyance, but I'm sorta stuck with it...

Anyway, my outgoing SMTP server requires authentication. I set up my accounts in OE6 to "Use the same settings as my incoming server", which means make me manually enter the username and password each time. This only works for the first email I send. After that, OE6 takes it upon itself to change that setting to "Log on using...", auto-filling the username, and checking "Remember password."

Is there any sort of solution/hack/minor explosive charge that will force OE6 to retain the settings I want?

BTW, if there really isn't, I may be able to use that as leverage in attempting to procure a different mail client... any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.
