opinion as fact. If you make a claim that says that something happened, it becomes a statement of fact unless otherwise noted. FYI, if you look it up, the BSA has been non-profit from the beginning (1917). It did not become non-profit just to avoid law suits, as you have claimed.
Also, if you read the summaries of the law suit verdict, it clearly states that the BSA was never directly given any money. The monetary figure that they use is an estimate of the value of the support that was given. That same type of support is offered to any non-profit org that is allowed access to a military installation, such as the American Red Cross. There are, for obvious reasons, some "non-profit orgs" that are not allowed access to any military installation, as their missions are in direct violation of both military and civilian laws.
So, the next time you decide to make statements, make sure that you don't misrepresent your opinions (which are obviously wrong) as fact. This will avoid the egg on your face when you are asked to substansiate your claims. |
