But I'm not arguing for Lewis anyway. Maybe it would be better to say I was illustrating his prejudices. Of course if you don't believe in the whole deal then you don't have to brand Jesus as evil -- but within the belief structure you can't accept him as a liar and a good man at the same time. So yeah, Lewis was begging the question here. But that doesn't mean that he failed to make any point at all.
