So, sort of in line with the current theme of the by hadji 2007-04-06 11:48:08
comic, at the beginning of this year, I offloaded backup management as one of my duties, except to serve as a consultant for the guy who is now doing it. I checked on some things recently discovered that one of our servers hasn't had a successful full backup since January. Since then, the only successful backups have been incremental.

I don't manage this person, but I've prodded through channels to get his arse working on a solution. Now, the incrementals won't run either, because we're out of space.

He asks me, "Can I just delete the oldest file?" (from the disk volume we're backing up to). "The oldest file is from January. I can delete that one, right?"

Where's my 1.21 gigawatt LART?
